Introducing Newton’s Document Viewer
Just in time for the new year, we’ve added technology to Newton, our popular corporate applicant tracking software, that allows people to view documents in their original formats. Yes, this means resumes (and other documents) added to Newton now appear exactly how they were intended to look. No more text previews. We’ve been experimenting with this technology for over a year and we’ve developed a stable feature that won’t compromise Newton’s speed. We know that all the people that use Newton, internal recruiters, hiring managers, human resource pros, and executives, are going to love it.
This is just one of over 20 new enhancements we’ve made to the platform. This release sets the stage for what’s to come this year – lot’s of new features and functionality!

Newton Software a leading provider of mid-market, corporate applicant tracking software announced the appointment of Jonathan Chenard to the position of Vice President of Services.
“Bringing Jonathan on board is huge step forward for Newton Software as he will serve as highly valuable member of our executive team but the real winners are our customers ,” said Joel Passen, Newton Software’s Head of Marketing and Co-founder. “Jonathan couldn’t have a more relevant background for a recruiting software company like ours. His 10 plus years of experience with business software combined with his most recent 7 plus years in the corporate recruiting industry will provide our customers with unparalleled competence and subject matter expertise.”
Prior to Newton Software, Jonathan was Vice President of Services and Delivery at GravityPeople, a leading provider of talent acquisition and recruitment outsourcing (RPO) solutions. GravityPeople was recently named to Fortune Magazine’s Fast 500. Chenard also served as a Professional Services Manager and Sales Engineer at Marketsoft (now IBM), a global provider of sales and marketing automation software and services. Jonathan started his career as an International Systems Analyst at The Mathworks, the world’s leading developer of technical computing software for engineers and scientists in industry, government, and education. Jonathan, originally from Massachusetts, is a graduate of Manhattanville College.
